Thank you David. Just to double confirm, the firmware that was sent to me and had the proper band lock was named as follows:
x50-5g-SP1-whole-up-ver1-2-0-P1[20241124-rel67701]_beta_lock_5G_band_2024-11-24_18.58.13
Is that the "1203 beta fix" that you refer to?

Die Frimware wurde mir ganz normal in der APP angezeigt ungefähr 2 Tage nachdem ich hier gefragt habe.

However, the Wireguard connection with my Fritzbox at home is not working as expected.
I have now solved this with a second fritzbox. The Deco is now only the modem.

Still no Version 1.2.0 or 1.2.1 available here.
Anyone from TP-Link here maybe with some ETA Details for Release?

@z3r0fr34k I've been asking similar questions here https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/threads/topic/727392?sortDir=DESC&page=2 but no one is answering
My understanding of what happened:
- TP-Link released 1.2.0 with a new platform without proper testing on v1 device
- After bricked device reports started flowing in they pulled the release down and released a 1.2.1 beta in an attempt to fix the problems
- The 1.2.1 beta got another update in another attempt to fix problems, now named as 1.2.0 beta to add to the confusion
- Some people were still complaining and TP-Link released instructions on how to downgrade to 1.1.x with an oversized image, since it's not possible from the UI
- After all this TP-Link seems to have dropped the ball on this on, is ignoring most comments and pretending like nothing ever happened
Those of us who are on the original 1.2.0 firmware that got officially released but taken down are now in a weird limbo, where the firmware is not officially supported, but any other paths (beta upgrades, downgrades) are even less supported and may void warranty. This case has not been handled well at all, and I'm also requesting better communication from TP-Link on this one.

@juhovh Hi, You have summarized clearly how the 1.2.0/1.2.1 beta/official versions were tested. Thank you!
1.2.X firmware was a significant advancement for Deco X50-5G. Compared with 1.5.1/1.1.7, It didn't change WiFi-related modules and shouldn't cause any network stability issues. The only potential concern could be the newly added features increased the CPU load and the engineers are still trying to seek the balance between advanced functionality and network reliability.
Currently, here is what I'm suggesting:
1. If you are already on the official 1.2.0 which is supposed to be 1.2.0 Build 20241011 Rel. 32926;
- For any issues you might experience, please test the beta firmware mentioned first-1.2.0_build_20241230
-If no improvement, feel free to send us an email to support.forum@tp-link.com with the issues you might suffer from.
- For users who don't want to test any beta and need a quick solution, the middle firmware here will help you revert to the official 1.1.5/1.1.7

2. If you haven't updated to the official 1.2.0 Build 20241011 Rel. 32926. or are worried it might bring other issues but still want to use the new features;
It is recommended to install the 1.2.0 beta directly:1.2.0_build_20241230
Thanks a lot for your cooperation and support.
Best regards.

Thanks for the update. I'm watching this even though I returned the X50-5g. It was good when it would work. However, I spent far too much time trying to get it working. I'm now paying for 5g Internet but I'm back using the 4g mr200.
I'd purchase another if this was sorted.
Surely it wouldn't be too much for tp-link to offer a goodwill gesture to anyone effected. Very poor response from such a big company.
