TP-link and quality of firmware
TP-link and quality of firmware
Saturday
Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version:

It's 2024 now, I tried this router. 4G stays up, but WiFi is troublesome. After upgrading the firmware to the latest release, Wifi does not crash anymore automatically and the laptop can e.g. play netflix.

But when sonos speakers (era 100)  try to join the wifi netwerk, again, wifi crashes and connectivity is gone.

Seeing that people in 2020 reported the same kind of issues, and in the past I also had an issue with TP-link software, I just advise to stay away of this brand, looking at the badly tested and developed firmware.

Hi @Sunshine  Thank yuo for responding. Though I was right that the tp-link router, out of the box, was very unstable, wifi crashed when clients tried to connect, especially the sonos wifi speakers, after upgrading the firmware it did not happen anymore. Though it seemed to be still having issues, which later were related to the sonos android app. When running it on iPhone it worked and wifi kept being up.. So you can set this ticket to solved. Sorry if I sounded too rude.
