Hi,

i would like to buy this Router to have better connection in my house. The signal is just to weak, so i want to install the router outside under a roof. Is it possible?

Or another idea: the antennas seem to be detachable. can i put a cable inbetween the antennas and the router to have just the antennas installed outdoor?

Are the antennas waterproof?

Thanks

Hi,

TL-MR6400 is a product for home network and is not recommended for outdoor use.

Please check the hardware version of your device. The antenna of TL-MR6400 V3 is not detachable.

If its antenna is detachable, you can use an extension cable, but the antennas are not waterproof.

But please note, signal attenuation can occur with longer cables.

And with non-original antennas there may be various compatibility issues. For more information, please refer to this thread before you change antennas.
