Model: Archer AX80
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.2 Build 20240428 rel.10981(4555)

Hello, I have AX80 router I bought because it has quad core CPU I thought that the USB sharing is good because of this post but while using samba in windows 11 I can only copy files with a speed of about 6.5/7 MB/s onto a Seagate USB external HDD 2TB. When I plug the external HDD into my laptop i get 80-90 MB/s copy speed. My setup is the following:

Gigabit ethernet connected to the "2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN" slot then my laptop is connected wired via the "1 Gbps WAN/LAN" slot on the router, both of them are connected with CAT5e cables. My laptop internet speed test shows 900MBps download speeds so the gigabit ethernet is good.

What can I do to enhance my copying speeds to the router USB attached HDD? I should at least be getting 30MB/s as I'm reading on other posts I see people getting also 50 MB/s transfer speed to the USB attached HDD.

Please help I like the router I don't want to return it back to the store.
