Model: RE450
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.0.20

Since purchase, the extender started having random disconnects from the internet on the whole network, but ONLY when i have the ethernot port connected to another device, i tried swithing the cable, but its the same, i tried swithing the connected device, still the same.

The disconnects seem to have so.ething to do with the bandwith im trying to send/recieve, for example:

When i load a PUBG game, right after loading finished and i enter a loby, i have a disconnect from the entire internet, on THE WHOLE NETWORK for about 10-30 seconds.

I tried firmware flashing, no use.

Im not sure if its the extenders fault or its software but its definitely the RE450's fault.

  @EzraAkim

Hi,

Do you mean the devices disconnect from the RE WIFI or still connected with no internet access?

Please also check if the internet on the main router is stable or not.

How about the light status on the RE when the issue happens?

Re:RE450 connection interruptions with certain bandwith
3 weeks ago
a quick update on the topology - (1) main router getting fiber WAN connection with DHCP on. (2) is the RE450 connected via 2.4GH mode and is getting great reception and by itself works awesome. (3) is the backup router connected 20 meters away with Cat6E to the (2) Re450. ONLY when the Ethernet is connected, the WAS connection on (1) is dropping every minute or so for a period of 5-30 seconds. (3) is connected to LAN1 and not via WAN - doesn't see it or gets connection for some reason. management system is inaccessible in this mode thus no DHCP on the router ( i guess since i have no way of checking). i switched the (3) router to a different one, same story, i switch the cable to a short one in close range - same story. no firewall rules on (1) router. ideas? for now it seems that the RE450 is the problem
