Model: Archer AX55
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.3 Build 20240628 rel.37017(4555)

Hi

Setting up an IoT network seems very straightforward and I was able to do it quickly.

However, I can't see the IoT network so I can connect to it.

What am I missing?

Thanks!

You just need to enable the correct band and set the wireless network SSID (setup IoT network guide):

After that, you should be able to see the IoT SSID and connect to it.

@Hunter_JG I've done that. The problem is that it doesn't matter if I keep the default SSID or change it to something else, it automatically changes it back to the "main" SSID. That then is obviously why I can't see it. The challenge then is why does it not accept my change of SSID for the IoT network?

This sounds awkward. Do you have your both main SSIDs (2.4 and 5 GHz) enabled ?

Did you try using a browser incognito tab for setting the IoT SSID (to bypass the browser cache) ?

@terziyski Yes, both main SSIDs are enabled. Also tried incognito as you suggested, but no luck. When I save my changes, it just reverts back to the main SSID and its password. I set it up with a different name and no password (for testing purposes).

Based on the attached screenshot, it appears that the AX55 is in AP Mode. Could you please confirm?

Try switching it back to Router Mode, resetting it to factory defaults, and then switching back to AP Mode to see if you can modify the IoT Network settings. Thank you!

@Kevin_Z I will double check, but I am certain I did not set it up as an AP. Does it have to be set up as an AP to utilize the IoT network option? I did not get that impression.

Nope. It doesn't require to be configured as an AP.

If you're not sure what is the current working mode, you may reset the AX55 first, then check if you can modify the IoT Network settings.

The screenshot is from a C64 in AP mode, which I posted just as a visual example.

The OP most probably is using his AX55 in router mode.

@Hunter_JG same issue here, once I fixed when restore config from backup, but after some days the IoT wireless network disappear again, bit only the 2.4GHz. But my IoT devices can use 2.4GHz only. Is there any workaround or fix?
