Hi,

On BT fibre to home 900 package for a year. I was using TP link router vr600 which was WiFi 2.4 and 5. I got new router ax12 today and checked for firmware updates. In settings I  don't have option on channel width of 160. Options are up to 80. I've changed 5ghz to include ax. I've not enabled smart connect and have separate SSID if that matters. Can I not see 160 channel width because I'm in UK? If so what are best router settings for me to get best WiFi results on WiFi 6 mobiles?

Many thanks

  @Ptc123

Hi I'm also BT fibre 900.

I have the AX72 v.01 and I have the option for 160mhz,

I get the full speeds of 936-946/110 via wifi. (S22ultra) amd if I hard wire my PC I get same speeds.

This is my result being 10meters form my main router.

I generally kept my setup pretty simple where I've got things set to factory settings where smart connect is on, the channel width was set to reccomend. And the 2.4/5ghz channels are set to auto as live in a built up area.

I do have my wifi transmission power turned down to medium as I'm running multiple ax72's covering from top floor of my 3floor house to bottom of my garden.

Not all devices in my house support the full 160mhz so they pick whats best for them.

Also when your doing speed tests ( guessing you'll use ookla) try amd find a server that will give you the most stable and highest results.

I use troolli server which has consecutively gave me the best and stable server to test on

All I can say is you can try changing settings one by one to see what works best for you in your home as everyone's devices/homes and environments are different.
