Hello!

I have a TP-Link Archer MR600 that I usually use with a SIM card to connect to the Internet. Since my SIM card stopped working and I am waiting for a replacement, I wanted to use the router as a WLAN repeater to connect to my friend’s Wi-Fi.

I changed the mode from 3G/4G Router to WLAN Router, restarted the router, and removed the SIM card. However, regardless of the mode I choose, the router does not allow me to connect to it. This means I cannot log in to the router after removing the SIM card to connect it to a different wireless network.

Do you have any suggestions?

  @Wolfgangk

Hi,

Archer MR600 only supports 3/4G mode and wireless router mode. Did you set it as wireless router mode to extend your friend's WIFI?

Please make sure your device is connect to the MR600 WIFi when you trying to login to its webpage.

If you failed to connect to the WIFI, please check the error message. And you can also reset the device and try again.
