Model: EB810v
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I got the router from Starhub 2 weeks again and that's when the nightmare started.

Far from an upgrade, the "no data connection" keeps appearing on the SSID and unable to go online.

Couple of modules riding on 2.4gHz network stops working.

Went through with the tech services from Starhub and it didn't resolve.

My other 3 routers at home works fine 2x AX72 and one eb230.

Wired also no issue.

So its definitely a WiFi connection issue in the Eb810v. Will be swapping for a new set next Tuesday and see if it improved.

Another issue with the eb810v, I'm not able to send out messages in Carousel platform. No issue with 5G and on the other 3 routers.

So the inherent issue of the eb810v is a grave concern.

Does anyone experience similar issue?

  @Dtpw Starhub services just came to replace the 810v router.

The no data connection still persists on my Oppo X5 phone but the tech guy using iPhone got no issue.

I think there's a compatibility issue with android devices

Last resort is to disable the wifi and get a reliable router to connect to the 810v vis one of the output port.

Guess that's the easiest resolution but at our expense. Abit of a sour note but life goes on.

Regards.

  @Martin2121

Hi ,

I am also facing the issue and I got a replacement from TP Link but issue still persist.
Are you meshing BE810V with another device?

I have been using TP Link products for more than 15 years and this is the worst that I ever have.

Those that still on the fence, you may want to avoid. I have a BE550 Pro and it is cheap and stable.

  @Haywire-SG

Still persists but I gave up on it already.

Will not mesh the 810v with any router.

Only using the wired LAN to port to other routers for wifi usage.

Won't waste time on it.

  @Martin2121 I have exactly the same issues. have u managed to resolve this?

2 days ago, i sign up for starhub 5gbps plan and purchase 2 units of eb810v, and had set them up as easy mesh. i experience frequent wifi disconnect. internet connection keep dropping and i have to restart the router to resume connection. worst still, i cant even login to the router web interface. Tried through aginet, and it keep prompting network unstable or cant find network.

it is quite frustrating as i keep needing to restart the router in order to have connection. can someone from tplink pleas le advise? apparently, there are several complaints on this issue in hwz as well.

Sorry to hear about your agony on 810v. I won't waste time on that unit. I purchased a TPlink BE230 and use it as a wireless router and switch off the 810v wifi. Starhub is hopeless in resolving this,too much time spend with them if U read my previous post. Since U bought 2 units, try to get them to resolve it and hopefully they can do it this time. All the best !!

Re:Eb810v signal dripping off easily.
a week ago

  @Reshin

I also have bad nightmare with Tplink mesh 810. Mine is HB810 from Singtel and second unit is HB710. When I first try to upgrade my Tplink Deco x75 x 2 units the system cannot detect HB810 even though I follow the manual closely.

After a few days of trying I gave up and decided to get outside pro to help install. The pro use his laptop to connect directly to the Lan port. He managed to set up the internet by connecting wired backhaul. Still the connection keep dropping like crazy every minute. I have to reboot

many times a day cos there is no connection. I have to get my isp - ViewQwest to come to my home twice. After thorough check there is no issue on their end. So the main culprit is Tplink.

I read somewhere from USA that their wifi 7 series is not ready for the market but they any how launch it even though there are many technical issues with their wifi 7 products.

My HB810 were suppose to run at close to 7G for a 10G internet system but the best I get was 900 mb for wifi. After an hour or so it would drop to 30 mb even though I was standing next to it. Then the next thing is no connection. It's like a yo yo. Up and down. Very unstable.

I am keeping my fingers cross that Tplink would come up with a solution to resolves this issue soon.
