Searching Solution for EU 90m2 House with Thik (Brick) Walls.

Hi there.

I have a 90m2 EU House with brick walls.  There is no way to drill those walls ( is a divorce matter ).

I am searching for a solution.

Curently i use Unifi UDR with U6+ and AC-PRO AP but there is on issue when wireless meshing.

Previously i  used  DECO M4 with good results.

Now i am prpepearing to install faster internet ( curently VDSL 100/10 mbit ) by updrading to 1gbit.

The main issue are the walls . My plans are :

a) Buy 3 pack of Deco XE75 Pro and use it with PLC adapters but PLC i think will not support 1gbit.

b) Buy 3 pack of Deco PX50 but there is no Wifi 6E ( i need 6ghz ).

c) Buy Archer BE550 with any other option of mesh wifi or onemesh or easymesh.

Currently there is no need for Wifi7 ( all of my devices are Wifi4 to Wifi6E ).   But i need for sure the 6Ghz spectrum in combination with wireless backhaul or any solution os PLC that can support 1gbit internet to all rooms.

My router is in front ot the middle bedroom (Kitchen's side)  and ap's on the romms in the corners.

Please make sugestions any kind ( that will work ) !!!

Thanks

George

Hi, welcome to the community.

Have you used any powerline adapters before?

-Since the powerline speed is closely related to the Home electric wiring system, if the house is very old, the powerline performance is even worse than the wireless performance.

If you want a seamless Mesh system, I think Deco is more recommended than the Archer EasyMesh solution.

Deco XE75 Pro would be a great choice. If you have used powerline adapters before and the performance is quite good.

We could use the powerline bridge to establish Ethernet Backhaul, such as:

ISP internet entry point---main Deco XE75 Pro---master powerline adapter~~~~~extended powerline adapte r#1---<cable>--satellite XE75 PRO #1

                                                                                                                      \~~~~~extended powerline adapter #2---<cable>--satellite XE75 PRO #2

Thank you very much and best regards.

Thank you for your reply.

I was thinkng also to start using 1 x Deco BE65 | BE9300 Whole Home Mesh WiFi 7 System | TP-Link Greece.  It seems that 90m2 apartment will be covered when i place it in the middle of the house.   There is also 6ghz spectrum for Wifi6E (and wifi7 for future use).  If there will be any issue maybe i will user anothere one.  And after that by using a PLC.  The bad think with PLC in Greece is that there are not in the market TPLINK models with more than 1300 Mbps speed  Powerline Αντάπτορες | TP-Link Greece .  So maybe a solution is Devolo with speef of 2400mbps Magic 2 LAN Powerline – Internet from the electrical socket | devolo .  I was using TPLINK ADAPTERS and the speed between them was 500-750 Mbps in mo home ( AV1300 PLC ).

What do you think about that?

Regards

George

Hi, 500-750Mbps out of AV1300 powerline speed is quite great.

For a Wireless Backhaul Mesh system, the internet speed of the satellite Deco would be 50-80% of the main Deco varying in wireless interference/barriers and distance, So for example, if we are using 2 pack Deco XE75 Pro, the available bandwidth of satellite Deco XE75 pro would be lower than 1G/s without an Ethernet conenction. The powerline adapter is still worth a try.

The BE65 is also a good choice if you are preparing for WiFi 7.

Thank you very much and best regards.
