I'm considering one of the Deco devices (a pari really), but I haven't got a ton of space next to uplink to position it vertically, as displayed in all the marketing material.

Given that antennas are fundamentally at least somewhat directional, would it work just as well if laid on the side, or would there be a notable signal degredation and reduce wireless backhaul between this device and its peer?
