Moderator Note:
1. The availability of EasyMesh in AP Mode may vary by region even for the same model. Please check your local website for more information.
2. The above list might not include all models and hardware versions. It is recommended to keep watching the firmware releases for your router, as all the newly supported features will be listed in the patch notes if/when it is added to your version.
User Scenarios:
Some users would prefer to, or are limited by their devices to, have their main modem router acting as the gateway and DHCP server in the network, which requires using the TP-Link Wi-Fi router in AP (Access Point) Mode to avoid the double-NAT issue. However, they also wish to utilize the EasyMesh feature of the TP-Link Wi-Fi router to create a mesh network with other EasyMesh routers or extenders.
The topology is roughly as follows (Topo 1):
Or as this one (Topo 2):
Note: In this topo, both the EasyMesh Wi-Fi router and the satellite router/extender must support EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul.
You may also connect the EasyMesh Wi-Fi routers like below, it will also work (Topo 3):
Note: In this topo, the EasyMesh Wi-Fi router and the satellite router/extender must also support EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul.

Hi @Heller7,
May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows:
ISP modem—router—PC/ )))((( client devices
(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )
Did you update firmware of Archer C64 to this beta firmware? Are other client devices able to access the network? If only one PC has no network connection, it is recommended that you troubleshoot the PC settings first:
1. Please connect the Ethernet cable from your modem or internet service provider to the Router's WAN port.
2. Check if the router has configured a parental control profile and remove the device from the profile.
3. For wired devices:
1) Connect the device to other LAN ports instead of the IPTV port you configured//set up earlier on the router.
2) Change the Ethernet cable.
3) Switch to another LAN port on the router or the device.
4. Change the DNS server:How to Change the DNS Servers on a TP-Link Wireless Router (New UI).
5. Reset the device to factory default settings.

When will GE800 (one of your more expensive routers even!) get EasyMesh in AP mode support? Can we request a beta firmware please?? It's one of the few WiFi7 that don't support...

Waiting for the AX73 V2.0 firmware update here too. It seems TP-Link is listening for customer feedback, so here's my vote.
I have a MR600 to receive 4G from a roof mounted 2x2 MIMO antennae which then shares it via cable with the AX73 that acts as an AP but in router mode so a couple of onemesh capable tp-link repeaters can connect to it. The problem with the router workaround is that I can't connect to the AX73 while it's in this mode via wifi. It itself doesn't even have internet access I think.
Real onemesh support in AP would solve this mess and allow me to use the AX73 for other things too.

I'm waiting for AX53 firmware update.
Let me ask one little thing: if the problem is double NAT, why not just disable NAT? Sure, the user mus use valid IPs for internal network. Create an alert message, suggest to turn off DHCP and go ahead. Maybe sounds like an oversimplification, but works.
For sure, I don't know how many features are attached with NAT by code. Maybe this will be the case.
I'm thrilled to inform you that a new pre-release firmware for Archer AX53/AX58 V1 is available in the following thread. It's recommended to try out this version of firmware and take advantage of the new functions and improvements to enhance your experience including Ethernet Backhaul, EasyMesh in AP mode, Satellite Router Management, ECO Mode, etc:

We also encourage you to upgrade to the latest pre-release firmware for testing and to provide feedback.

I am also waiting for the AP mode EasyMesh solution. Router was not cheap and some cheaper versions got the update already. Maybe some more information about this feature? Thanks a lot
