Hi everyone,

Hope this is an easy fix, so I have bought a wi fi range extender, model N300 TL-WA855RE,

Anyway, I have downloaded the tether app, creat login, user name and password, it logs on and finds the adapter but when I try to connect to the adapter and put in the password it's saying incorrect password??

Anyhelp would be great,

Hi,

Is this a brand new TL-WA855RE or a pre-owned one?

If your TL-WA855RE is new and at least hardware version "v2.x" or higher, then the Tether app should have asked you to setup (and confirm) a new password for the TL-WA855RE when you first tried to connect it, because a brand new TL-WA855RE doesn't have a password yet.

In case a password was previously setup on the TL-WA855RE, but you don't know what it is, then reset the TL-WA855RE by pressing the little "Reset" button that is located near the LAN port. This also resets the TL-WA855RE's password.
