How to Turn Off OneMesh
How to Turn Off OneMesh
I am using the MR500 router for a backup WAN connection. Wi-Fi is disabled, however the OneMesh signals (with the hidden SSIDs) are still being transmitted and are causing interference with the devices next to it. How do I turn off OneMesh? There seems to be no option for this (like the EasyMesh option in other routers). This needs to be fixed and soonest.

Hi, may I confirm your basic situation? Is your router model also Archer MR500 V1?
How did you use the router and what is your exact problem?

@Marvin Yes, I believe that's what I have 'Firmware Version:1.7.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 231109 Rel.44740n Hardware Version:Archer MR500 v1.0 00000003'
I'm getting some pretty wild SNR fluctuation which seems to bring with it huge dips in cellular speed, especially of an evening.
I think I'm getting a fairly decent RSRP of -82 to -84dBm?, fairly decent RSRQ of -11 to -13dB? but my SNR can vary hugely from 26dB to 0dB!
Assuming that my SNR is being affected by some kind of electrical interference? I'm trying to isolate what might be causing that. Open to any advice/suggestions.
Many thanks.

Hi, thanks for your update~
If you feel the speed is slow, it is suggested to follow this guide to troubleshoot.
And you may update firmware to the latest from the official website first.

@Marvin_S Thanks. There was a firmware update the router was missing through auto-update somehow so I downloaded it and applied it manually taking me upto 1.8.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 240507 Rel.41141n.
I'm still not seeing an option to disable OneMesh though?
Also you mentioned a troubleshooting guide. Please could you link me to that?
Many thanks.

Sorry, I failed to hyperlink the guide. Please refer to this guide.
May I confirm why you wan to disable Onemesh? What is your exact network topology? As I know, Onemesh feature would not influence the network performance usually.

Hello.
I also would like to get some way to disable Hidden SSID network (OneMesh) for my router Archer C6 EU V2. That network been bugging me for a very long time until recently I actually found out what that is. I have latest firmware but there is no option to turn it off by any means in my router settings. Archer C6 got this free "feature" in some of the latest firmware updates and I want to get rid of it as I'm not planning to have a mesh setup.
Best regards
