Archer AX95 new firmware?
Archer AX95 new firmware?
Hello, I decided to ask if there is info about new firmware for Archer AX95? It's been over a year without updates and I'm conserned about security. Other models like AX73, AX55, etc... received updates this year.
Thank you.

Hi, thanks for posting question here.
Sorry that we don't get advanced notice of whether there will be new updates being released or when a feature update will be available for Archer AX95. The way we do firmware is that we only release a new version when there is a bug/flaw/vulnerability to patch or a new feature to add, but since I am not in software development, I cannot provide a definite answer. We recommend keeping an eye on Firmware Update page of the router's web UI if there would be any new.

@Marvin_S Thank you for your answer, I'll check from time to time. Proud of that router :)

I am also interested, given the fact that it lacks something as simple as bandwidth control.

@CirculoElectric hi there :)
More than a year, highclass router without some fix, feature or optimisations as you suggested... I still believe and waiting :)

@Vendex Are we ever going to get a new Fimware to this 300€ router? It is plain stupid, that high class device doesn't get updates at all.

@Zem I can understand your disdain.
I am in the same situation where I would like to check the speeds of connected devices, a feature that my 80 dollars tp-link has and not this one.

@Zem correct, no updates = no even moderate security at all, they can infect your router with botnet virus that attacks targets or hack and change your dns to make money for someone with ads and so on!

@Marvin_S The lack of firmware updates for such an expensive router is very disappointing. For example, the lack of support for encrypted DNS traffic, where this is already implemented in other models. Security fixes at least in the kernel itself should be made available more often. Quite a disappointment with TP-Link's update policy for this model.

@Blzart this is very true, some cheap models like AX12 and AX17 already received couple of updates this year, this policiy is very stupid becouse one dissatisfied customer equals 100 dissatisfied others and at some point even more! I have sold many thousands of routers of this brand but it looks like this may not continue!

@Marvin_S what is happening with keeping an eye on Firmware Updates??? Thats very big shame if you understand me. Just deliver our questions to software development as it is suggested. I've even pay a month subscription for security protection. Your silence here is not well accepted, we need information here so please talk each other in that company.
