Model: Deco XE75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I have a XE75 mesh system. Two XE75s with hard wired backhaul on 900Mbs fibre internet. I use the main Deco as the router from the ISPs ONT and not their supplied router. All works well so I suppose I should leave well alone but I cant resist tweaking......

Is there any benefit to installing a 6e router in place of the main XE75 and then using the XE75s in access mode. Or am I just adding complication into the setup ? If there is a benefit then which TP Link router would you recommend ?

Hi,

Why do you want to add another 6E router in the network? Do you need any special function on the router?

In this case, you can connect the Deco network behind a 6E router and set the Deco to AP mode to avoid the double NAT issue.

If you just want to extend the WIFI coverage, we would recommend adding a new Deco unit directly. Therefore you will only have one Deco WIFI in your home, and you can also enjoy seamless roaming.
