Hi there,

DHCP IP reservation is a bug in the firmware that doesn't seem to go away!

I've read forums relating to the same issue of MAC reserved IP addresses does not work meaning any device gets an IP from the range.

On the basis TP-Link either can't/wont fix this bug, how are people getting around this? Will shrinking the IP pool and setting static IPs outside the range on static IP clients work?

Thanks

@Sunshine the Mac address of the devices are assigned a set IP within DHCP settings however the router gives out a random IP from the IP pool.  Basically totally ignoring the reservation.

Or does reservation mean it Won't give out that IP from the pool?
