New Features/Enhancements
1.Add support for ECO mode ( on Advanced->System->ECO Mode page).
When working in Power-Saving Mode or Ultra Power-Saving Mode, your router will reduce the power consumption to save power, please note that your network speed and coverage will be reduced as well.
2.Add support for DoH/DoT(on Advanced->Network->Internet page).
3.Add Tap Mode in OpenVPN Server(on Advanced->VPN Sever ->OpenVPN page).
TAP mode, short for "Ethernet Bridging" is a network technology that enables the bridging of two or more network segments into one virtual network. With the integration of TAP mode into your OpenVPN server, your AX55 router now has the ability to work as a bridge between multiple local networks, creating a seamless and unified network experience.

Note: It requires your OpenVPN Client supporting TAP Mode as well, or you will not be able to connect the VPN Server successfully.

It is true that the 1.3.2 version works on the EU routers. In fact, if you download and unzip the file, its name starts with “ax55-v1-up-all-ver1-3-2”. I am using it on four AX55(EU) devices here.
The 1.3.2 version does have some documented issues and I imagine that the engineers want to solve these issues before releasing the firmware for the EU community. In fact, I envision the next firmware release will be 1.3.x where x will be a higher number than 2.
To explain this further, there is an issue with parental controls that you will find elsewhere on this forum. In addition, I personally have two other outstanding issues (one with access control lists and the other with device isolation) both of which the engineers are working on.
I would recommend upgrading from the older beta version to 1.3.2 as it is more stable with EasyMesh connections.
@jra11500 that's what I did in the end.
The new firmware is definitely more stable than the beta, but having to manually update all devices separately is not ideal. Well, at least it's possible now at all, unlike before when the satellite had no user interface at all...
I understand that you are not a TP-Link employee but I really don't get the explanation with the outstanding issues. Those were already known before this release. Why would that be a problem for the EU version and not for the US one?
It's also not specific to this release, the EU version is often months behind other regions for apparently no reason at all.

The outstanding issues that I mentioned were discovered after the 1.3.2 firmware release. I can’t speak on the timelines for the different releases as that is something I have not investigated. My only comment is that Tp-Link is extremely slow in publishing any updates, so much so that I have decided to start using another brand.
I have replaced my AX55s with Synology WRX560 routers (even though they are more expensive) and the differences in the routers made everything worthwhile. I now have native VLAN support, the ability to create up to 5 local networks (each with up to 2 SSIDs) and each having their own subnet, the ability to assign a LAN port to a particular network, the capability of full network isolation, and finally having all networks (not just the main network) in the mesh configuration.

Hi,
Do you know when this firmware will be available for the AX55 V1 EU version ?
The beta version I have received (1.2.6 build 20231130 rel.36135) does not support ethernet backhaul.
Thanks

If you manually flash this version (1.3.2 Build 20240325 rel.56896) it also works fine on the EU hardware version
