I  have a main router which connect to internet. I purchased Tp Link Archer C7 to extend the range as it has WDS bridging. My main router is situated in a corner of the room and my TP link is situated in dinning hall. It is not possible to connect them via LAN cable. Also please note my main router is Wifi 6 router

 

I followed article on https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/faq/1555/

 

- I can see that WDS status for 5GHz band is Run

- I've selected my main router from survey list and provided the password. 

 My main router IP is 192.168.33.1 , start IP 192.168.33.2 end IP 192.168.33.254

- I set my extender Tp Link Ip as 192.168.33.2 and I've disabled DHCP on the Archer C7 router.

 

However when I switch wifi to Archer C7 , I'm unable to connect to internet. Please help me connect to internet

Try setting your main router DHCP server start IP 192.168.33.2 end IP 192.168.33.100 and set Archer C7 with IP address 192.168.33.254 (and its DHCP server off).

Restart Archer C7 and test. If that doesn't work either probably your main router is not compatible with C7 WDS feature - WDS is not a standardized across different vendors.
