Model: Archer AXE5400
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.9 Build 20231115 rel.37295(4555)

I got this new router and I discovered problems logging into 2,4 Mhz wlan when I use SSID/password method. I am not sure if this caused by 2,4 and 5 Mhz binding. I did try to login using guest wlan 2,4 Mhz also but result is the same. Is there something I must do in order to solve this? My previous TP-Link A8 and C7 no such problem occurred. Further research revealed that joining takes several minutes. However, sometimes faster. When I connect to the TP-Link Archer A8 router with the same device, the connection always takes a few seconds. Is this firmware problem? It cannot be a feature.

  @penatar

Hi, can you share us your wireless settings from the web interface?  Did you enable Smart Connect?

You may go to Advanced >> Wireless >> Wireless settings to disable Smart Connect and set different names for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.

Did you test on your phone? Or all of your clients need longer time to connect to 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz wifi band than before?

  @Marvin_S  I disabled Smart Connect and there is different ssid and password for 2,4 and 5 Mhz wlans. It seems to me that connection to 2,4 Mhz wlan takes weeeery long time! When I use my other (Archer A8) router connection takes just few seconds. Because of this, I returned the router to the store and I still use the A8 router.
