I cant seem to find the answer to this.

Im looking at purchasing the Deco X1500 or 50. I have a sliightly non-standard requirement.

I'm happy with the in-house set up but i also have a garden office (about 15-20m away) which already has an ethernet cable pre-run. Im looking to have the same wifi throughtout. Can 2 deco devices be connected via ethernet? It wont be the device that connects to the router which will be cabled together.

You can connect Deco devices with Ethernet. This topic is discussed here: General questions about Ethernet Backhaul feature on your Deco

Scroll down to Q4 in that document, it answers your question.

Your garden office, is it climate-controlled? If not, you may wish to place Deco X50-Outdoor unit in the garden office, this model is a better fit for outdoor temperatures.

For indoor, choose X50 or X55. These will work together with Deco X50-Oudoor just fine.
