Model: Archer VR2100v
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.16.0 0.9.1 v009e.0 Build 230510 Rel.46740n

Hello,

I got my Archer VR2100v today. It is in a One Mesh with a RE330 repeater. When my TV receiver connects to the repeater, I cannot see the it in the Archer Web UI at all and thus cannot assign it a static IP address via address reservation. When logging in to the RE330 web interface, I can see the receiver, but I cannot reserve an IP address for it. Coming from a FRITZbox, I am used to see all the devices, even the ones connected to repeaters and extenders, in one page. In the same page I was able to just assign a static IP address to them.

I also tried just typing in the MAC address of the TV receiver (It is listed in the RE330 web interface and I just copied it to the one of the Archer), but nothing happens. When reconnecting the TV receiver to the network, it still gets a random IP address. Can anyone help me out here?

Thank you

  @Wasilewskiii

First make sure that you're with the latest FW release on RE330.

Apparently the problem is different. I can see that you are in 192.168.1.0/24 network, right ?

Your main router 192.168.1.1, right ? If so far that correct set the RE330 like this:,

Reboot your router, when it starts, reboot the RE330 and then test.

RE330 is most probably working in proxy mode. Check this FAQ proxy mode description to see if that could help resolving your issue.

@terziyski hey, thanks for your reply. If I understand correctly, the link you posted and the according Problem only applies to devices with the older green interface right? Because both of my devices have the newer blue one and I cannot find anything related. The only thing I can see is that the RE330 is set to extend the network and to apply the router settings automatically (the second option would be to make a WiFi network out of a cable-only network).

It's not about green UI or the new UI.

It's about replacing each of its clients’ MAC address with a virtual MAC address generated automatically by the Range Extender, if its working in proxy mode.

Read carefully Part A: If Range Extender is working on Proxy Mode from the document I posted and check if that's the case.

@terziyski So the MAC address of devices directly connected to the router is 1-1. It´s the same thing. The devices connected to the range extender do not appear in the router DHCP settings at all. Not as a virtual (slightly changed) MAC address, nor with their real one. They´re simply not there.

The devices that do appear on both have different IP addresses. I guess that at some point they were connected to either of the 2 devices and are inactive on one of them now.

I got one device e.g. that shows like this in my RE330 web UI:
sf8008 | 192.168.1.201 | 40-9C-A7-48-B2-5A | 5G

There is not anything even coming close to that MAC address (let alone the same one) in my router DHCP settings or Wireless statistics page.

@terziyski I tried your settings and now it is working as expected. After restarting the devices I was able to reserve an IP address for my TV receiver and also all other devices are now showing the same IP address on the router and the RE330. Thank you so much for your help :)
