Hi 

My Deco network suddenly stopped connecting to the internet, when I connect directly into the Cable modem it works fine.

the light starts to flash red.

I tried to log onto the units with my Deco App, but it fails to open because I do not have phone data and the wifi network is not connected to the internet.

 

I think i have ot update the firmware and reset the DNS server settings

but i cannot seem to do this without having data on my phone...?

Hi, I think the Deco APP might still think you are via remote control.

Are you able to see a login page via http://tplinkdeco.net or 192.168.68.1 when the mobile phone reports "authentication failed" on the Deco APP?

It is also suggested to force stop the Deco APP and restart the mobile phone, then connect back to the Deco WiFi(even though the Wi-Fi has no internet access) and sign in to the Deco APP again.

I left the unit unplugged overnight, then plugged it in again and waited over 1/2 hour. At that point, the light turned green and i could connect to the internet.

 

i logged in and looking at the error log it shows.

Hi, Thanks for the update.

The logs seem quite normal.

I used to send logs to the engineer for interpretation, but I was told not to worry about them as long as the Deco was running well. I believe these are the typical operation logs.
