TL-MR6400 (EU) Version 5.30 upgrade request
Hello.
I bought a tp-link tl-mr6400 (EU) 5.30 router.
It had firmware version 1.6.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 230418 Rel.34085n by default.
Tried to update to the latest firmware on your site ( TL-MR6400(EU)_V5.30_220506 ) and it says Error code: 71211 .
Tried the one before that ( TL-MR6400(EU)_V5.30_1.5.0 Build 221121 ) and went smoothly BUT now the version says 1.5.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 221121 Rel.62850n ( which is lower than before ) and STILL it is not possible to upgrade to the latest version.
Anyone knows why is that?

Hi, I will send your default firmware to you via private message, and we are also waiting for it to be uploaded to the official website.
In addition, when checking the firmware version on TP-Link official website, please pay attention to the numbers of the firmware name such as TL-MR6400(EU)_V5.30_220506 means the firmware build numbers are 220506 which means May 6th 2022 instead of only checking the published date.
Generally newer published date means newer version, but in some rare cases, an older firmware was uploaded to the official website too late which might be listed above a newer firmware, that is why this happens in this case. We have reported this issue to the related website manager.

Hi, the firmware you are trying to update TL-MR6400(EU)_V5.30_220506 is older than your current firmware and your current firmware is not allowed to downgrade, that is why you saw the error code when updating.
Is there any internet issue with your MR6400?

Hello and thank you for the reply.
No I do not have any problems with the connection. I am just trying to have the latest firmware as per the instructions, for my device . At the official site it lists the above as the latest, released " 2023-12-20 " , so obviously they made a mistake.
https://www.tp-link.com/gr/support/download/tl-mr6400/v5.3/#Firmware
Is there a way to have the latest for my device? If the numbering is correct, then the one I have installed now, is lower than the one it had when i bought it.
Thank you once more.

Is there anyone able to provide me with a solution?
I have told TP-Link Greece, that they have the old file, with wrong description, at their site, a month now and they have done nothing.
The only thing they told me was to "wait till the right firmware gets uploaded at their page".
It is my understanding that every new firmware fixes bugs and I can't understand why am I forced to stay with an outdated one for a product I paid nearly 100 euros. The one that it came was newer and they don't even send me that.

@Sunshine
Hello.
First of all i wanted to thank you cause you are the only one able to provide me with a solution.
I have installed the firmware and works great. I cant say that the download speed has increased in any way, but i can say that it has dropped the lag versus the old firmware.
To be 100% honest i DID check the numbering, but since the one said "1.5.0 build " and the "newer" had only the build number, i assumed that it would take me to the 1.6.0 so that it the reason it had a lower number at the build.
Furthermore most firmware versions do not let you downgrade, so i though, that if for some reason i chose a lower build firmware, the router would just wont let me downgrade.
In any case, thank you a lot for the support you provided me.
