Model: Archer VR1600v
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 220518 Rel.32480n

Can't get the parental controls to work. Am testing on my device (status active) and have tried:

1. Blocking out a time (current) and disabled content restriction - doesn't disable wifi for the device.

2. Blocking out a time (current), enabling content restriction and leaving the keyword empty, set to whitelist - doesn't disable wifi for the device.

3. Blocking out a time (current), enabling content restriction and leaving the keyword empty, set to blacklist - doesn't disable wifi for the device.

4. Blocking out a time (current), enabling content restriction and setting keyword to www.wikipedia.org, set to blacklist - I can search any website on the device.

4. Blocking out a time (current), enabling content restriction and setting keyword to www.wikipedia.org, set to whitelist - I can search any website on the device.

I tried some of these options outside of the blocked time, but then I lost motivation to go on.

What am I missing? It just isn't working.

Also I thought I'd update the firmware to see if that helped but I can't find any firmware for this model on this website. Where is it and would that help?

  @KelVel

Please go to Advanced->System Tools->System Log page to make sure the system time is correct. Also make sure your client device is not using random MAC address or VPN connection etc.

Then when you test the parental control, please try the number 2, 4 or 5:

2. Blocking out a time (current), enabling content restriction and leaving the keyword empty, set to whitelist

4. Blocking out a time (current), enabling content restriction and setting keyword to www.wikipedia.org, set to blacklist

5. Blocking out a time (current), enabling content restriction and setting keyword to www.wikipedia.org, set to whitelist
