WAN/LAN auto-sensingPorts issues after firmware update X50(1.0) 1.4.1 Build 20231122 Rel. 40485
Hi,
About a one or two week ago I updated the new firmware version 1.4.1 Build 20231122 Rel. 40485
I have set option to the Router to update every day at 6:00AM, I have this option already there from much before this new firmare.
And about 5 days ago it started that the connected Switch to the router lost connection to the internet, on all devices connected to this switch.
not able to ping to those IP locally to those devices. They lost access to the entire network.
The solution is to disconnect the Switch port on the Deco to the other one that is Empty, and there the switch gets back internet and IP , etc.
If I change back to the previous port still no IP assigned, no internet.
If I restart the Router, then I can change back to the previous port and its get IP, internet ,etc
Discarding that the port is not hardware broken.
I suspect that sometimes when the Router restart, the process of looking the WAN port (WAN/LAN auto-sensing) makes that the switch connected port somehow get disable in that process.
The wifi devices from the main Deco and the second Deco and ethernet devices on the second Deco, those all work fine.
I tried looking the Router logs, but can't get more than 20 minutes, unless there is a way that you can tell me how to get logs from 6 hours in the past.
Note: I already restart the Switch manually and devices to see if that was the error but no, its the main Deco Router the problem.
This is my topology:
ISP service---<cable#1>---modem---<cable#2>main Deco X50(Router Mode)--switch--(Devices#3)
--WIFI---second Deco X50(as Repeater)---Ethernet PC.
Deco X50 3 Ethernet ports:
1: Modem
2: Switch
3: Empty
Devices#3:
Apple TV
Raspberry Pi 4
Xbox Series

@David-TP i just receved two deco x50-poe
wifi work fantastic but lan port on both devices are "dead" had chat support for an hour an we did not manage to get any ip on any of the two deco's.
tried to change old router and use the decos as access points. This gave me very low speed on wifi so i dropped that solution
result = need to switch back to
my old router and retunt the two x50 as they probably have a hardware fault.
any other suggestions?
br
Torben
