Samsung A32 going to "wifi connected without internet" on Deco S7 mesh

I recently bought a 2-pack DECO S7 system to get rid of dead spots in my house.
All works fine for most devices, except for my wife's Samsung A32.
Every now and again it goes back to 4G connection, with the Deco connection on the phone saying "Connect without internet".
Switching wifi off and on resolves it for a while, but it then happens again after a while.
I haven't been able to find a pattern to this.
Older phones, XBox, alarm system and laptops / PC's does not show this issue and remains connected to the internet.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. I'd hate to have to return this system just due to one device having issues, but it is a massive irritation at the moment.
Things I've tried so far:
- restarted deco mesh (no upgrades available)
- restarted phone
- updated phone
- switched phone to guest network set up with 2.4GHz only (assumption that bad reception at bad of house on 5GHz was causing connection drop). Signal strength is better, but phone still loses internet periodically.
- assigned static IP to phone (plus reserved that IP on DECO)
- disabled beamforming
- disabled fast roaming
- on phone - assigned 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 as DNS
- on phone - disabled intelligent wifi to fail back to 3g
