AX73 faster VPN server (WireGuard)
Hi everyone,
I'd like to see a faster VPN server implementation in AX73. Currently it is capped to 20-24mbps, which is very slow. I read that the current VPN server with the highest performance is WireGuard, so please add it.
Thanks in advance

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.
We have some routers that have already added WireGuard VPN, AX73 is planned to add it as well, here is the related thread for your reference:

@Sunshine,
Yes, indeed you have routers that support WireGuard, but some details are learned the hard way after the purchase of a specific device. Also such details are not advertised in their official pages. In my case, I came here from Mikrotik world and after purchasing AX73. I did not expect that the VPN server will be so slow.
Anyway, I hope that the developers will improve speed or add WireGuard as soon as possible to AX73.

Any progress on this? Seems like an easy decision to this and allow us to utilize the VPN client and server of our choice.

@CasaPablo
Looks like there's a list of routers with planned support here: https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/595286
I bought three routers, 2 of which are access points. One of them happens to be lower spec but does support Wireguard, the others are "planned". Wondering if it's worth it to wait or simply redo my network deployment.

After a few checks here and there, I noticed a trend - routers with a Qualcomm CPU get WireGuard, and those with Broadcom get .... Guess AX73 what cpu it has.
I'm pretty sure that AX73 was in a waiting list, but now there is no such list anymore. So that was the last time I spent money for this company.
