MR500 Firmware update problem
Hi guys,
I have a
Hardware Version: Archer MR500 v1.0 00000003
Module version: 16121.1009.00.01.02.06
Every time i try to manually update the firmware i get the following message:
Error code: 4503
The uploaded file was not accepted.
The online Upgrade says the the firmware is up to date.
Firmware version: 1.2.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 221229 Rel.36465n
What can i do?
Best regards

Hi, upon checking, your current firmware is a customized firmware for ROORG (ISP Orange in RO), that is why you are unable to update other EU version firmware.

Hello,
This is odd. I bought the router new, from a 3rd party retailer, not from Orange.
I will try to update it with the sim card out. Maybe that will work?
Also, is there a way to update it with TFTP via recovery mode? I tried to hold the reset button and switch it on, with no luck.

Hi, I am afraid the firmware update still doesn't work even with no SIM card inserted. And it doesn't support firmware recovery either.
May I know if there is any Internet issue with your MR500?

Hello.
I can confirm. The update doesn't work with the sim out.
Sometimes the internet seems to be "spotty". In those moments i need to restart the router.
I will contact the retailer. The product was supposed to be "unlocked".
I'll be back with updates.
