Dear All,

I have purchased a Deco s7 AC1900 mesh wifi system (with 3 units) few weeks ago.

I installed the system with router functioning mode.

Everything is working fine, except one.

I have 2 air-conditionings (Gree G-Tech) and 2 thermostats (Computherm E300) at home. They are wifi compatible devices on the band 2.4 GHz.

I tried to connect them to the Deco system, but whatever I did, I couldn't make the connection.

I read a lot of topics about how to connect smart devices to the Deco system, but I haven't found a solution yet.

I made and tried the following changes:

- set the band only to 2.4 GHz

- set the security mode to WPA/WPA2

- tried to make the connection with the guest network on 2.4 GHz band

- disabled the fast roaming and enabled the beamforming

The signal is strong enough in the whole house of course.

The blacklist is (still) empty.

My smartphone is detecting the devices (e.g. it sees the air-conditionings signals), but it can't make them to connect to the wifi system.

Could you please help me?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Daniel from Hungary

@takidani You can check whether the Wifi password contains special characters, refer toSpecial Characters Not Suitable for Wi-Fi Name and Password - Home Network Community (tp-link.com)
