TP-Link Archer TX20UH cannot connect 5ghz network
Hey guys. I need some help. I just bought new Archer TX20UH V1.0 for my desktop computer so I can make a connection between my mobilephone Galaxy A51 5G and share my mobile phones connection to my PC
Now 2,4ghz works just fine, but I cannot connect 5ghz. Not sure how to check what is wrong. I downloaded and installed newest drivers from TP-link's support page and I am using Win11. I used to use Netgear A6120 and it worked 5ghz just like that. No problems at all with same phone and same PC
Not sure what information I should provide more from my PC setup, but I really could use help here

Hi,
By "I cannot connect 5ghz" do you mean if you select your 5 GHz wireless network, then Windows 11 tries for a while and after maybe around 10 seconds or so it says "cannot connect to this network" or something like that?
Regarding your PC, does it have an Intel CPU or an AMD CPU?

Yes exactly that. It shows my network in the list and when I type password and click connect it tries to connect, but says cannot connect to this network. I have AMD Ryzen 5 5600G CPU

Please test if the problem remains when the Archer TX20UH is plugged into an USB 2.0 port. (usually these are made in black color, while USB 3.x ports are usually blue-ish)
There have been users who reported silimar issues on computers built on AMD chips and USB 3.x in combination with these AX1800 USB wireless adapters.

Didnt work. Sorry. I have 2 3,x USB's and 2 black 2.0 USB back on my PC and I tried all of them. 2,4 ghz connects like a charm but 5ghz doesnt. If I try Netgear - it works just like that. I wonder what could be wrong here

Besides the Galaxy A51 phone, do you have another 5 GHz wireless network available that you can try to connect to? Maybe another phone that can be used as hotspot?

I am still working with this problem and I noticed that Netgear is using Mediatek chipset/drivers and TP-Link Realtek Semiconductor Corp chipset/drivers. Also if I check from Win11 network settings I can see that Netgear adapter is connect 802.11(n) and TP-Link adapter 802.11(ac)
Does 802.11(ac) support 5GHz connections? If not, how can I change that TP-Link will understand - for example - 802.11(n) protocol?

802.11n is supported in the 2.4 GHz band and the 5 GHz band.
802.11ac is only supported in the 5 GHz band.
Are you saying the Netgear A6120 connects to the 5 GHz hotspot using the slow 802.11n standard? That would be rather strange.
Anyway, if you want to test whether the TX20UH might successfully connect to the hotspot using 802.11n, then open Windows' "Device Manager", display the "Properties" of the TP-Link Wireless USB Adapter and change the 5G Wireless Mode to "IEEE 802.11a/n".

If I check Win11 network setting from both Netgear and TP-Link adapters. These are info I get:

Can you get anything out of these info's? I tried to change TP-Link's protocol to IEEE 802.11a/n 5GHz, but still nothing. 5GHz doesnt work

The information is indeed weird. A download/upload speed of 86/86 seems too low for 802.11ac.
And conversely, a download speed of 600 Mbps is impossible to achieve for the Netgear A6120 on the 2.4 GHz band.
One last thing you could test is installing the currently newest driver version 5001.15.134.0 for the Realtek TP-Link TX20UH. Although, chances that it would help are probably rather low.
