Cant access network camera from Internet
Hello,
This will be my first post in this forum. I'm out of ideas on how to continue troubleshooting my problem. We have 6 TP-Link Deco XE75 in a mesh network. In this network there is also a Zyxel GS1900-24HP switch that handles 7 network cameras (Dlink DCS-4602 and Dlink DCS-5222L) through POE. All devices, switches, etc. run on the same subnet 192.168.0.x.
In XE75 there are rules set up for NAT to the network cameras according to:
Service: Customized
Internal IP: 192.168.0.x
Internal port: 443
External port: 923x
Protocol: TCP
The network cameras are each set to respond to https 443 and have an IP range between: 192.168.0.231 - 192.168.0.237. The external port set for NAT corresponds to its camera's IP address, eg: internal IP 192.168.0.231 port 443 -> NAT -> external IP port 9231.
If you are on the subnet, you can access all network cameras. However, the network cameras cannot be accessed from the Internet. I have also set up similar NAT rules to access, for example, the Zyxel switch's web interface to test NAT in Deco and that web interface works to be accessed from the Internet.
If you start the VPN server in XE75, all devices can be accessed through the tunnel except for the network cameras. The VPN server creates a subnet of 10.0.0.x and it seems to route everything correctly to 192.168.0.x but the network cameras still have no access through the VPN tunnel.
We changed the router to the Deco XE75 Mesh, as we previously had an ASUS with NAT rules and then there was no problem accessing the network cameras.
Tried to find something in the system logs but can't find anything about the network cameras in particular.
