Model: Archer AX73   RE705X
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.8 Build 20230616 rel.65817

Hi,

I recently bought AX73 router as my main router device with plan to use its onemesh/easymesh capability with other extender devices to make one mesh network in my house.

unfortunatelly in my house there are quite thick walls, multiple floors and metal obstacles in signal way and I wanted to use ethernet backhaul to overcome these hurdles. Unfortunetelly, I just learned this feature is as of now  if I understand it correctly "promissed" / "planned" for years already and not implemented.

Is it ever be a case for this 2 devices?

I understand that the major target is let the business grow and sell devices rather then support old (understand as: already on market) HW so I wonder me, is it ever happen (even if promissed)?

Now I feel like to switch to concurent solution..

Thanks

RE705x (hw v1.0) (fw version 1.1.4 Build 20230509 Rel. 78185)

AX73 (hw v2.0) (fw version 1.0.8 Build 20230616 rel.65817)

Onemesh doesn't support ethernet backhaul - Onemesh FAQ - Q5/A5.

The routers that support Easymesh ethernet backhaul at this moment are listed in this thread - any two of these would do the job.

In the future more routers and extenders probably would receive this feature through a FW update - that's "planned" means.
