Model: Archer AX23
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I wonder what is the difference between V1 and V1.20, the version I bought is V1.20 I read in a forum that V1 use Mediatek Chipset, V1.20 use Qualcomm chips, is it true? What is the exact difference between the two versions?

Hi,

We can get some clue by comparing the downloadable firmware files for each router version.
https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/archer-ax23/

For example, the firmware packages "Archer AX23(EU)_V1_211126" and "Archer AX23(EU)_V1.2_211126" as well as "Archer AX23(EU)_V1_220216" and "Archer AX23(EU)_V1.2_220216" contain binary files that are absolutely identical. (apart from the names of the files being different)

If both versions of the Archer AX23 run the exact same firmware, then their chipsets must be identical too, which in this case means there is MediaTek in both, V1 and V1.2.

But what is the difference between the two versions, I do not know.
