  @David-TP i need to disable this feature as it shuts off my internet for several minutes at critical times such as video conference calls, etc. this is a feature that should not cause complete network disruption, or should be able to be DISABLED. Please explain how to disable this auto-switching.

No other router I have ever used has ever just dropped all connections at a critical period so it can "switch bandwidths". this should require at the VERY LEAST user acknowledgement AND permission, and a reboot.

Please reply ASAP.

  @J_B_

Hi, Thank you for the feedback.

When the "Auto switch" is disabled, the 5GHz will remain on 80MHz. It is against the local wireless regulation if the router doesn't avoid co-channel operation with systems that predate Wi-Fi, such as military radar, satellite communication, and weather radar.

However, if you think it is more like a false alarm on Deco APP, please try to save a copy of the system log from the web UI and contact the local technical support.

Thanks again and best regards.

  @David-TP These are 100% false alarms. There are no military, satellite or weather radar equipment near me.  There have been other people reporting the same issue and they live in rural areas where there are literally no buildings around for miles.   There are enough reports like this that Tplink should be doing a thorough investigation on their own to fix it. When people replace the equipment with a other vendor, they don't have the same issue either.  100% and issue with this gear only.

Agreed. I live on 13 acres of forest. No radar here to conflict with. Deco - TP Link - This has been going on for over 1.5 years - Where is the resolution?

  @Bluefalconer I replaced my old Nighthawk r8000 with the 2 pack Deco xe75.

The only con has been the dfs switching due to radar detection. It is very annoying when you work from home.

ive left it at 80 cause there is no issues besides the speeds slowdown quite a bit.

Sadly i live in the city next to a hospital, there is a military base 3.5 miles away or so im basically screwed.

there is no way to assign channels your self which would help avoid this issue . I feel like with the amount of people having the issue that a firmware update needs to address this stupid issue. I should not have to return this product to buy someone elses to avoid this problem.

tplink you really need to research this issue , look at this thread alone with all the issues. You dont want customers to return your product for a competitors.

add a way to so we can change the wifi channels to avoid the dfs issues with radar detection.

I started having this issue. And resets didn't work. What end up working for me is switching the port receiving the Ethernet. Looks like my port 1 is broken(works occasionally) which caused this specific issue.
