Model: Archer VR600v
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 0.7.0 0.9.1 v0075.0 Build 200616 Rel.36749n

The router has rejected a client that was usually connected.

The client logs in to a hotspot I set up without any problem.

Is there a maximum number of clients? I have 26 wireless clients connected (if I read the white numebr on a yellow background correctly).

Is this the limit?

If yes, is there a solution because today this number is quickly reached if you have light bulbs and sockets operating via WiFi?

Thanks.

  @FredManning

Hi, what is the model number of the device that is no longer connected to Archer VR600v? Would there be any error message when it could no longer connect to VR600V?

The recommended number of connected clients is 30 and the current issue might not be due to the client's limit.

Thank you very much.

best regards.

Hi and thanks for your reply.

It's an evohome controller by Honeywell. There was no error message, just that it could not connect. I have chucked out a few WiFi-lamps and now I connected it again.

It seems that the Archer can really handle no more than 30 devices/clients and that's it. Not nearly enough for me when starting to move to a "smart" home environment, so I'll have to find a different router. Pity. I'll have to find out what the limit is for AVM's new AX series.

Thanks again

Fred
