Model: Archer AX10
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I have an Archer AX10(EU) hardware v1.0 (also titled Model AX10 AX1500 WiFi 6 Router) router.
Because my router has a custom firmware(which isn't allowing any upgrade) with a lot of restricted featureas, I would like to install the official one.

Finally was able to access the control page at http://192.168.0.1/ and it showed rescue mode.

BUT, I'm not able to upgrade any firmware. The page always says: "Upgrade failed. The file is invalid."

I tried with latest version downloaded from the oficial site:
ax10v1-up-ver1-3-1-P1[20220401-rel57450]_2022-04-01_15.57.55.bin

I've also managed to capture the HTTP flow with Wireshark. Please find below the response message:
<html><head><title>POST RESULT</title></head><body>{"success": false, "errorcode": "-2", "msg": "Bad image"}</body></html>

Best regards.

@dj.martzian

Hi,

Is the country code of your Archer AX10 an EU version or a US version? You can check that by locating undernearth the router label.

If it is not an EU version on the label, you cannot install the latest firmware for your router. You need to download and install the firmware published on the local website.

Hello,

Yes, my AX10 router is the EU version. The trick is that this kind of devices aren't accepting new software in one of the below conditions:

1. the firmware version that you are trying to load is lower than the current running version.

2. the MD5 of the new firmware is not correctly compiled.
