Model: Archer T2U Nano
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1030.38.712.2019

I got the adapter because a friend recomended it to me and it had good reviews.

It worked really well for about a month but then the download speeds dropped drastically. The upload speeds are normal.

I tried connecting to WiFi in another computer and the speeds were what I was paying for, but when I plugged in the tp-link adapter the download speeds dropped.

I use windows 10 pro btw.

Please help.

  @leorasi

Hi, how much speed you could get from T2U nano now? And what was the previous speed?

Will unplugging/plugging the adapter temporarily restore the speed?

Please also refer to this link to make sure the link speed is still expected:

How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client

After that, please install the driver here to see whether it helped with the current issue:

Best regards.

  @David-TP

I'm having the same issue now on Windows 11, it worked well for some time until recently. I can get it fixed by installing drivers which came with it inside of the box until the PC is restarted. I'm using it due to the lack of 5GHz as the laptop is reasonably old.

Download Speeds:

Direct Wi-Fi to Sky Router (145mbps plan) | Average 25mbps which should reach 100mbps in this location.
Direct Wi-FI to TP Link Deco E4 Booster (capped to 100mbps due to ethernet restriction) | Average 0.5mbps which should reach 65mbps in this location.

Upload speed is good and how it should be.

Thanks,

Matt
