TL-WA850RE v2.0 - OSX Big Sur shows "Weak Security"
Hello,
OSX BigSur shows "Security Warning" with this Range-Extender.
It is set to WPA2 Personal and as NetSpot Screenshot shows, it's communicating with that Standard/Protocol.
So why does OSX tell it's insecure ?

airport -s command shows the following, so i guess warning is because of TKIP being offered
# /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Apple80211.framework/Versions/Current/Resources/airport -s SSID BSSID RSSI CHANNEL HT CC SECURITY (auth/unicast/group) <snip> FRITZ!Box 7590 DH Repeater 98:de:d0:ae:f0:9d -57 11 Y -- WPA2(PSK/AES,TKIP/TKIP) FRITZ!Box 7590 DH 98:9b:cb:ad:7c:5c -49 11 Y DE WPA2(PSK/AES/AES)

how can i make sure that the client (iphone, android phone, osx macbook, win10 notebook) is connected with WPA2/AES or disable TKIP ?

Hi, have you tried to reset the 850RE V2 once, and set it up again via web UI, not WPS or Tether APP?
Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

@David-TP thanks, but i have freshly setup this device via factory reset.
it should automatically derive wifi security settings based on those active on the main router?
apparently, it does not work.
