Good morning
This is my first message, so if I break any rules, please excuse me.

I have a TP-link AX72 pro v.1 router with firmware version 1.3.1 Build 20240426 rel.40133(4555) and I wanted another router with WIFI 6 and LAN at 1Ghz to make a backhaul ethernet/easymesh network and be able to bring WIFI via cable to other rooms in my house (probably buy another one like it).
I have seen in this post that the AX72 pro v1 model is compatible with ethernet backhaul, but it talks about firmware version 1.2.2 Build 20230831. Is only that firmware version compatible or the one I have is also compatible?

Thank you very much.

@itobn

I believe you missed the word "Original" in the chart.smiley

So, Yes, 1.3.1 also supports EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul.

  @Lovage

I bought AX17 because it was small and I wanted put it in a box. There was no bigger boxes. But I see that every ethernet backhaul capable is bigger in other same case and probably has much better hardware, which is needed to support it. So probably not possible with cheaper devices... I have to find bigger box and buy AX23...

Any update on this? Many publications have reviews using two Archer Air R5 AX3000's using ethernet backhaul and Easymesh, but the public software does not support this yet. What is the timeline for publishing this software?

@Furus

Unfortunately, we don't have an estimated timeline for when the Archer Air R5 will support EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul.

Could you please indicate where you saw the advertisement claiming it already supports Ethernet Backhaul? We'll investigate and update it to prevent any misunderstandings.

  @Kevin_Z Reading the history of the messages on this topic, I see that the Archer AX53_v1 got EasyMesh ethernet backhaul support through a (still beta) update. Can we expect that the AX58_V1 will get an update to support this feature in the (hopefully near) future? Do you have any information of what is being tested, or what is being commented?

I recently bought a AX58 hoping to get support for this feature, but I've discovered that the hardware version is 1.0... Is there any way to check this on the vendors listing?
