Hi,

I have an Archer MR600 wifi router.

There is an on/off button but I want to use a remote control socket.

Is it possible to power on power off with the ac adaptator on a remote socket ?

Is it bad for the electronics composants ?

Thanks you for your advices.

Hi, do you mean smart plug that could control the power remotely? then connect the MR600 to the smart plug for power supply?

If so, I think it depends on how the smart plug is connected and working, for example, if the smart plug uses WiFi network of MR600 for internet access and remote control, then when you power off the MR600, the smart plug will lose internet as well, then maybe the remote control to power on the device will not work.
