Hi

Just purchased this adapter but it keeps dropping back to 2.4ghz rather than 5ghz.  If I disable 2.4Ghz in my Virgin Media Hub 4 router it happily connects on 5Ghz, but when I re-enable 2.4Ghz on the router the adapter drops back to this slower architecture.  It's connected to a Windows 10 Pro server.

How can I force a 5Ghz connection?  Or even connect over both at the same time?

Cheers.

  @Hyde_TDS Fixed my own issue...

Firstly, ensure adapter is plugged into a USB port with blue coloured internals. The blue USB port is also known as USB 3.0 or SuperSpeed (SS) USB.

Run device manager and select the TP-Link Nano network device.  Select properties and click the Advanced tab.  Make sure the channel is set to 802.11ac.  Click OK and close all open dialog boxes.

Your adpater will now connect and work over the faster 5ghz WI-Fi spectrum.
