Model: Archer VR2100
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Archer_VR2100V1_1.5.0_0.9.1_210722

TP-Link treats their customers very horribly. TP-Link has been bombarded with inquiries about the Archer VR2100 On/Off switch for OneMesh since it went on sale. All the advice was/is to (foul words)......, to no avail. Turning off SmartConnect does not help. The VR2100 still broadcasts hidden networks. I have been a Tp-Link customer for about 20 years, but the company's behavior in recent years, when they started "experimenting" with the OneMesh network, and customers do testers for free, is, to put it politely, outrageous.
So I ask: When will the firmware update for Archer VR2100 (EU) with On/Off for OneMesh be released? ? ? ?

  @jirikubala

Hi, Welcome to the community.

We do have a firmware that has added the OneMesh on/off switch for Archer VR2100 (EU):

How to disable Onemesh Hidden network

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

  @David-TP Firmware Archer_VR2100V1_1.5.0_0.9.1_up_boot(220425)_beta_2022-04-25_16.24.25.bin
Disabling OneMesh works, but only partially. After changing from DLS to Wirelles router, OneMesh appears disabled in the menu, but the hidden network broadcasts. He has to turn Onemesh on and off again. The same is true after a power failure. Again, Onemesh must be turned on and off in the Basic menu. Checked by the inSSIDer program, connected in the family house, there are no other wifi networks in the vicinity.
Please excuse my English, Google Translate

  @jirikubala

Thanks for the update.

I did remember there was feedback before some users could not find the one mesh on/off button even on the beta firmware. In the beginning, I thought he might not find the right place. Now I figured out he might be on the wireless router mode. Thank you again for the further confirmation.

And this feature will be added to the later official firmware version as well(1.6.0 Build 220518 has not added it yet and it should be the one after this version.)

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
