Hi there,

I need to connect a smart device to my network and it is only compatible with 2.4Ghz. Even if I setup the 2.4 a 5 Ghz bands with separate SSIDs when my phone connects to the new 2.4 SSID it still connects at 5Ghz and I cant see how to disable this.

May I know the model number of your smartphone?

Maybe you could try to temporarily turn off 5ghz, forget and reconnect to the Wi-Fi again on the smartphone, then start setting up the smart device again.
