Hi TP-Link.

 

I've recently purchased this router, and I'm not hugely impressed so far with the features available, but those feature requests will be another series of posts.

 

The first thing I saw when setting everything up is the following:

The web GUI appears to be unable to get a correct updated firmware.

As shipped, firmware was "1.1.2"

Clicking the "check for upgrade button" suggested that there was no update.

However, navigating manually to the appropriate section of the website (https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/archer-c5400x/v1/#Firmware" showed there was indeed a new updated non-beta firmware : "1.1.3 Build 20211222 rel.4234(4555)"

 

Downloading this and installing this appeared to add no new ill-effects.
