Solution Cannot Access the Internet when connecting an Archer AX6000/AX11000 to Starlink Gen 2
This Article Applies to:
Archer AX6000 V1
Archer AX11000 V1
Archer AX90 V1
Archer GX90 V1
Archer AX3200 V1
Issue Description/Phenomenon:
Starlink Gen 2 system generally includes a Starlink Terminal, a Starlink router, and an Ethernet adapter. This Ethernet adapter will give you the ability to hard-wire the system and use non Starlink equipment with the system, and it is a must when connecting a non-Starlink router. However, SpaceX/Starlink doesn't guarantee performance with a non-Starlink router, the FAQ notes:
If you want to connect our TP-Link router like Archer AX6000/AX11000 to the Starlink Gen 2 system but unfortunately fail to connect to the internet, please go through this article to figure it out.
Available Solutions:
Solution 1
For Archer AX11000/AX6000
Upgrade and install the below beta firmware on the Archer AX11000/AX6000, then connect the WAN/Internet port to the Starlink Ethernet adapter to observe if the internet works. Download and unzip the firmware file, then you will see the “.bin” firmware file, launch a web browser and go to the Advanced > System Tools > Firmware Upgrade page to upload the firmware file:
Archer AX11000_V1.0_221209 (Updated on Dec 12, 2022)
Archer AX6000_V1.0_230303 (Updated on Mar 15, 2023)
Note:
1. Please be sure you have read the Terms and Conditions for TP-Link Beta Firmware before proceeding!
2. This beta version can be applied to the EU and US versions.
For Archer AX90/GX90/AX3200
Step 1 Connect the Starlink Gen 2 Ethernet Adapter to the 1 Gbps WAN/LAN Port on the Archer AX90/GX90/AX3200 instead of the 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN Port, then check if the internet will work.
Step 2 Visit http://tplinkwifi.net and log into the web GUI of the router, go to Internet, and select 1 Gbps WAN/LAN as the WAN/Internet port.
Note: The 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port and 1 Gbps WAN/LAN port cannot be used as the WAN port at the same time. Once we choose to use the 1 Gbps WAN/LAN port as the WAN port for internet service, the 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN port will be used as the LAN port by default.
Solution 2
Try modifying the Internet Negotiation Speed to 100 Mbps Full Duplex, then save and reboot the system to determine if the internet works.
For Archer AX6000, go to Advanced > System Tools > System Parameters page, scroll down to the bottom of the page, you see find Internet Port Negotiation Speed Setting, change it to 100 Mbps Full Duplex:
For Archer AX11000, go to Advanced > Network > Internet page, scroll down to the bottom of the page, you see find Internet Port Negotiation Speed Setting, change it to 100 Mbps Full Duplex:
Solution 3
If you happen to have a network switch, try to plug the switch between the Starlink Ethernet Adapter and the Archer AX6000/AX11000 WAN, that is Starlink router --- Ethernet Adapter --- Switch --- Archer AX6000/AX11000, then confirm if the internet works.
Feel free to comment below whether the issue gets fixed with the above solutions. We will also investigate further and update the thread when there is a final solution, welcome to subscribe!

@Kevin_Z Thankyou for your reply yes I am now connected thankyou. I'm now concerned that doing the 100mbps full duplex I won't be getting the max performance this router offers. Any thoughts??

Thank you very much for the follow-up, and I'm glad to see the internet works after changing the Internet Negotiation Speed to 100Mbps Full Duplex.
Can I know what is the bandwidth you paid for the internet?
BTW, I have just updated my original thread that you can connect the Starlink Gen 2 Ethernet Adapter to the 1Gbps WAN/LAN port instead of the 2.5Gbps, then log into the web GUI of the GX90 to configure the 1Gbps WAN/LAN as the WAN/Internet port, you will be able to connect to the internet.
Please let me know if this helps or not.

Sorry, my bad.
Have you tried to change the Internet Speed Negotiation to 100 Mbps on the Archer AX6000? Isn't that working?
After changing the negotiation speed to 100 Mbps on the AX6000, will the router get a WAN IP address from the Starlink Gen 2 adapter? Can I have a screenshot of the WAN/Internet page?
You may also try the beta firmware we provided in the original post to observe if that makes the router connect to the Starlink adapter:

Recently purchased an Archer AX6000 to use with a Starlink Gen 2; posting this information in case it might be of assistance to others.
Starlink Details
Standard Starlink for Standard service plans, as the dish supports typical household internet applications. The High Performance can be used with Standard service as well and is a good fit for customers looking for faster speeds in extreme weather conditions and in polar regions.
The router included with High Performance Starlink does not come with a built-in Ethernet port. However, there is an Ethernet adapter available for purchase on the Starlink Shop to allow for a wired connection to the network. If you need more than one port, a network switch can be connected to the ethernet adapter. Alternatively, included is a RJ45 cable for direct hardwired connections to the power supply which can be used to connect alternative routers for wired network set-ups.
Location: Northern Ontario, Canada
Service: Standard mode (High Performance not yet available)
Adapter: Ethernet Adapter (purchase direct from Starlink)
Dish Type: High Performance Rectangular
Network Topology
Starlink Gen 2 (in Bypass Mode) -> Starlink Ethernet Adapter (V2) -> Archer AX6000 (WAN) -> TL-SG1024DE -> EAP670
AX6000 F/W: 1.3.0 Build 20221208 rel.45145 [Archer AX6000(CA)_V1_221208.zip]
TL-SG1024DE F/W: 1.0.0 Build 20210512 Rel.40781 [shipped, newer than website: TL-SG1024DE(UN)_V4.26_20210412.zip]
EAP 670 F/W: 1.0.3 Build 20220316 Rel. 51997(4341) [shipped, newer than website: EAP670(CA)_V1_1.0.2 Build 20220210.zip]
Observations
As part of standard troubleshooting procedures (Windows): Clear web browser cache, IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS (CMD.EXE)
AX6000 [f/w 1.3.0 Build 20221208 rel.45145]: am able to obtain an IP Address from Starlink but unable to resolve any website (DNS or IP) regardless of web browser when the WAN port is set to: Auto, 2.5Gbps, 1.0Gbps. Am able to resolve websites when the WAN port is set to: 100 Mbps.
In the event that WAN connection is interrupted (power outage, disconnected, router restart, etc.), unable to resolve any website (DNS or IP) regardless of web browser when the WAN port is set to: Auto, 2.5Gbps, 1.0Gbps *and* 100 Mbps.
To regain connectivity, I have to perform the following sequence: Release WAN -> select 1.0Gbps -> Renew WAN -> Release WAN -> select 100 Mbps -> Renew WAN.
AX6000 [f/w 1.3.0 Build 20230303 rel.35566(4341)] - Archer AX6000_V1.0_230303 (Updated on Mar 15, 2023): ax6000v1-up-ver1-3-0-P1[20230303-rel35566]_starlink_beta.zip): am able to obtain an IP Address from Starlink and resolve websites (DNS or IP) regardless of web browser when the WAN port is set to: Auto.
