After powering on, it takes around 3-5 minutes for the router to boot up completely and connect to internet. Till then other devices connecting to the router see that the router has no internet and disconnct from it automatically. It is very irritating.There should be some way to speed up booting and connecting to internet quickly

Are you powering off the router often? How long the router boots up and connects to the internet will depend on how you configured it to connect to the internet, which means it is determined by your internet connection type and the response time of your internet server. BTW, 3-5 minutes could be normal.

 

Who is your ISP? Are you using PPPoE? If you power off the router quite often, I would suggest you configure the Reboot Schedule to reboot the router according to when there is no requirement for the internet. Below is the guide:
