Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.4.00.9.1v0001.0

hi, I have the mr600 v2 router with a poynting external omi directional ariel.

I'm going mad as I cannot keep a stable download speed. I have 2 bars strength at 50%. my speed starts at 35bps download and within 10 mins is at 1.5 bps. I'm with EE after trying o2 and having the same issue with both. I even had the Huwaei 4g router beforehand and sent that back as I thought that was my problem,  but unfortunately if anything this is worse.

I've tried everything from pointing the aerial in different directions , rebooting, to changing diffrent settings. I'm baffled , please help before I send the lot back.

also cant find any settings for antenna so am  assuming its pre set to external? I have tried the bunny ears that come with it, but that was 25% signal strength

Hi,do you have the same issue when using the original LTE antennas?

If the signal and speed changes a lot, please pay attention to the network type and band displayed on Advanced->Status page, if it falls back to WCDMA which is 3G network, please try to change Network Mode from 4G Preferred to 4G Only on Advanced->Network->Internet page, and if it stays on 4G but band changes, you could also manually select the 4G band on the same page.

By the way, do you mean your previous Huawei 4G Router had similar issue with the same SIM card? If so, it might be related to the base station or carrier. the 4G signal and speed might have big difference at different times for one day.
