Hello,

i have an 4G router with this model:

Firmware Version: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210803 Rel.55933n
Hardware Version: TL-MR6400 v5 00000001
Latest Version: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210803 Rel.55933n
 
from this link i can found there is a new update: https://www.tp-link.com/ae/support/download/tl-mr6400/
but when i trying upload this file on router page, it show me this error: Error code: 71211 - Failed to upload upgrade file. Please select the correct file.
 
i tried bin file and zip file, but no different,
my file name is this: TL-MR6400(EU)_V5_201207.zip
 
Kindly please help me..

You're trying to update your MR6400v5, but it's telling you that the file is not correct? Did you try to redownload the file again? it sounds like you got a bad file or the file got corrupted somehow

Hi, actually your firmware is already the latest firmware, there is no need to update it now.

By the way, based on the firmware version, the hardware version of your MR6400 should be V5.20, the web interface doesn't show the .20, thus it only shows V5. So for future firmware update, please look for firmware for V5.20 as well.

  @AJDMS 

Looks like you have EU v5.0 of MR6400 like mine TL-MR6400(EU) ver 5.0 (look for model detail on the white part at the back of your router just above S/N serial numbers ) if its working fine not giving you any/specific problem i suggest you refrain from updating coz it might mess up your router

 

But if you have a problem with receiving sms but not showing in inbox or you need to be able to select LTE bands manually or ussd not functioning correctly you can try the below firmware

Its a beta firmware not stable use at your own risk but it solved all of the above issues for me hope its going to work for you as well
