Hi

there is a big difference as to the speeds i get using the same sim card in my router and my phone.

In my phone i get about 180mbs, but when I put the same sim in the router i can only get about 40mbs (tested with devices in same location)

Is this normal and if not how can I fix this?

Thanks

Hi,

Actually the Archer MR6400 is a LTE CAT4 product, it doesn't support 4G+, but most smart phone now supports higher LTE category such as LTE CAT6, CAT9, CAT11 etc. or even 5G NR which are 4G+ or 5G, your phone speed could reach 180Mbps which means it must be working on 4G+ or 5G, because 4G LTE CAT4 has only maximum download speed of 150Mbps, therefore, it doesn't make sense to compare two products with different LTE category.

If you have another LTE CAT4 product to compare with the Archer MR400, please test the speed again for both of them and let us know the results.

By the way, what is the hardware and firmware version of your MR400?
